I got what I paid for
I bought this on sale and it was a great price, so my expectations weren't very high. I think I got about what I expected. I have carried small Buck lockbacks for decades and this is the first Bear Edge knife I have ever owned. Out of the box, the lock is VERY rough and difficult to unlock. It not only requires a lot of force, but you have to fiddle with it to get it to unengage.… read more Combined with the rather sharp edges on the lock button, it actually made my fingers sore after a dozen or so tries. I think it will eventually improve on wear-in, but it is not good as is. I do like the clean, simple design, and that's why I bought the knife - although the logo graphics on the blade are just as annoying as the pictures indicate. Bottom line: This isn't a Buck!
