The Greatest Disappointment...And I Couldn't Be Happier
I so wanted a pocket-sized pirate sword, but apparently, my ability to read the specs was thwarted by my fascination.
I had been wanting a Boker (non-auto) that I was thrilled to find this super cool-looking flipper, the Obscura.
I guess I thought it was supposed to be bigger than it was. Talk about a letdown when I finally opened the box.
I felt like a gorilla…

holding a toothpick. In fact, I thought this knife was about as useful as a toothpick, it was so surprisingly small.
But OMG...
The action!!!
It's a fidgeter's dream come true.
I was instantly addicted to this micro-flipper. It was easily the most fun I've had with a flipper-style knife.
Once I got past my expectations, I started appreciating this lil' guy for what it was: an awesome itty-bitty pirate knife.
It's surprisingly comfortable to hold. With a medium/large hand, I'm able to get a 3-and-1/2-finger grip. The G10 is contoured, but concave instead of the typical convex.
I'm not sure the inverse contouring is a plus, but it's definitely not a negative for me. It's just something different to point out.
The liner lock is easy to actuate...very smooth.
And the blade is super thin...sooooo sharp. Again, I have a scar to prove it. LOL
Anyway, this knife is amazing. It's one of my go-to knives when I need a reliable secondary knife in my shirt pocket.
May you be as pleasantly disappointed as I.
Enjoy the slice!
