The Cold Steel 1911 folding knife is inspired by the popular 1911 semi automatic pistol. It features a black Griv Ex handle for a sure grip and a tough 4034SS steel blade. The blade is locked in place with a liner lock and an additional safety. The 1911 is lightweight in the hand and pocket, featuring a stainless steel pocket clip for secure carry. I am trying
I am trying to like this knife. I love the design, I love the blade, and it feels great. BUT, it does not open all the way when you try to flip it open.
I would still recommend it.
Iconic flipper
Not fully sure why, I don't currently own a 1911, but I just love the look of those grips. The size is nice for EDC use, where I really prefer a flipper over thumb studs or other opening mechanics. It has quickly become a favorite for EDC in my line up.
