The Spartan is equally suited… read more for use as an EDC tool, which at 7.5 ounces; carries surprisingly-well in the pocket. This model also features Cold Steel's version of the 'Wave' pocket-opener. My knife came wickedly-sharp from the factory-box. Size-wise, the Spartan's footprint mirrors the 4 Max Scout, and it also features AUS-10A alloy steel. When the blade is deployed lock-up is solid via the Demko "triad lock".
