The Kit Carson designed CRKT M21-14SF Special Forces knife features a hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum handle with a combination of features requested by military procurement specialists. The stainless steel locking liner with friction grooves gives positive locking and is paired with CRKT's patented AutoLAWKS automatic safety, which turns the folder into a virtual fixed blade automatically. The open build handle allows two Carson FLippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt. M21-14SF has a non-reflective tactical black titanium nitride finish. The AUS 8 stainless steel blade is a deep-bellied spear point style with a hollow grind and a partially serrated edge. One-hand opening is made simple with dual thumb studs and a Carson FLipper for quick deployment. All Knives in the M21SF series are equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry on belts or webbing. Caution: These Knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry. They are special Knives, designed by the military for special forces use. Teflon bearings at the blade pivot assure velvety-smooth action.

CRKT M21-14SF
Bought mine directly from CRKT. Best things about it are the look, feel, light weight (for it's size), and the extra handle length. CRKT appears to make knives that are somewhat budget friendly and I guess this qualifies based on its size and build quality. What don't I care for? Obviously, you don't want to carry this as and EDC. It's too scary looking. I'd rule that out unless… read more you work in a shipping warehouse with other guys that regularly carry bigger knives. The flipper really doesn't reliably open the knife in one smooth action unless you want to apply some serious wrist action as you hit it. And I have to say that the safety release that you have to pull to unlock the knife is rather tedious. I always end up using two hands to make that happen and maybe that's the point. Either way, I don't care for it. The knife is impressive looking and it seems like it's built to last, but I do feel that I could find something easier to open and close for much the same price.
Nice Knife
This was the second CRKT knife I bought. I love it. It has become part of my EDC in my gear bag.
Great Beater Knife
This is my most used EDC, largely because i don't mind scratching or abusing it. The steel is good enough, but dulls easier than a premium steel. I've used it as a pry bar and screw driver with no problems (fight me). Also, easy enough to operate one handed with practice.
A solid beater, but missing better blade steel
