It uses an ingenious mechanism that keeps the blade "locked" when held firmly in hand. The handle is lightning strike carbon fiber with heat anodized titanium onlays. The "Razor Wire" Damascus steel blade flips open with assistance from the rubber band and smoothly thanks to the IKBS pivot. For those looking to carry this prized knife there is a tip-down pocket clip. This knife is serial numbered on the handle.
