The Guard Father Spike is a one of a kind OTF automatic ice pick. It features a sharpened stainless steel spike that shoots out the front of the handle with fast automatic action. The release button is loCATed under the pocket clip, which rotates to function as a safety mechanism. What is the Spike for? The possibilities are endless! My first OTF device and I LOVE IT!!!
Super snappy.
Beautiful "thwack' sound and the kick on this lil' guy is much stronger than anticipated.
I'm not sure about the pen clip design and wearing it in my front shirt pocket (like a pen).
It scares me to think about the spike accidentally shooting out right under my chin.

It derailed once and left me worried that I would have to buy another one, but I got it back on track and it still fires like a beast.
I use it as my icepick, by the way.
It does what's it's designed to do: stab, pierce, poke, and puncture.

I bought one of these from another company, for twice the price, and loved it. My wife took that one LOL I had to order several of these for family and friends. Glad I found Blade HQ and saved a TON of money. It is a very discreet self defense tool. Strong, fast and the point is sharp. Great little item to carry for many purposes.

Just came in today and this thing is ridiculous. Comes out like a bat out of hell on steroids. I guess it's functional although I haven't tried it on whatever it's intended object of use is. Oh yeah, ice. Well maybe one day but for now it's just fun to play with. I'm a little worried that it might go off in my pants but that's beside the point and also that's what she said.
