I'm amazed that the Genesis and the Outback have such different shaped handles and yet each feels made perfect for my hand, I have heard the GNS is the same and will probably be my next fixed blade purchase. Now for this knife ,not the specs just my opinion. The good : long edge holding , quality Crucible steel , and pretty sharp out of the box The great : fantastic leather dangler… read more sheath( never thought I'd stray from kydex) , saber grind my favorite for all around field use, a 90% spine that makes great tinder as well ferro rod strikes, the handle fits like it was made just for my hands even wearing gloves, the selection of handle color and materials is wide and gorgeous , the Double Red is more beautiful than the pictures can do justice. The bad : the lanyard hole sits in an odd place right on the curve of the butt and makes a small edge like a fingernail . This is not when held only when caressed or rubbed (I can't be the only one who has done that) , I went over with a small file and took it down a little. My second minor issue also helped with this, the knife sits deep in the sheath , a little hard to access . So a small lanyard fixed the depth problem and the slight ridge problem , hence the 5 star review. I love this knife and will not hesitate to recommend.
