About Microtech Spartan Ultratech OTF Automatic Knife OD Green (3.4" Bronze) 223-13OD
This Ultratech features a bronze stonewashed finished Spartan style blade with plain cutting edges. It has a contoured, OD green anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with a bronze stonewash finished pocket clip, glass breaker, and stainless steel hardware. Microtech equipped this version of the ever popular Ultratech D/A OTF knife with a smooth, contoured handle design that promotes increased comfort during use. This updated MODel provides the same dimensions, hardware, and durability offered by the "Tri-Grip" variation, but goes easier on the hands and pockets. For those unfamiliar with the Ultratech, it's a fully automatic knife with a double-action out-the-front mechanism, meaning the thumb slide deploys the bladeand retracts it as well. Although I have not done any field testing with this knife, I have to say this thing is so cool. The build quality is very impressive. Deploying the blade takes the perfect amount of pressure. Not too little and not too much. The weight of the knife is perfect. The clip is extremely sturdy. Cool ball bearing design with the window breaking type of nub on the end. I love the spartan… read more blade design. I think its much better than the other designs. This contrast between the bronze blade and OD Green body is so appealing. Only complaint I have is that the blade has a very very very slight wobble to it but that is expected from all OTFs out there. So far I give it a 5/5. I love this thing.
